Five ways to showcase your customer reviews

Customer reviews are incredibly powerful. So much so, that 88% of consumers say that they trust online reviews as much as a personal recommendation .

Think about it. When you’re going to buy something for the first time, do you jump straight in, or do you look around first and see what people who have already made that commitment say?

With that in mind, you need to make sure your potential customers see all the fantastic testimonials and reviews that you get current customers. So, here are five ways to use your customer reviews that you may not have thought of.

1. Share your customer reviews on social media

Facebook reviews, Google reviews, or hand-written thank you notes. Wherever they originate make sure you share your reviews across all of your social media channels. You could create a graphic using canva to ensure they are eye-catching and true to your brand, like I have.

2. Display customer testimonials on your website

I’m not just talking having a testimonials page on your website here (though you should have that too!). Use your customer reviews to provide impact across your website, by using soundbites from them to illustrate what you can do for your customers. Ideally you should aim to have at least one testimonial on every page.

3. Include reviews in any printed material

Much like showcasing them on your website, including the best quotes you have from real customers on any packaging, leaflets, brochures, etc that you have made adds weight to the claims you are making. Why not pick the best one and include it on your business card to entice people to contact you?

4. Add your best testimonial to your email signature

Why not add something rally great that someone has said about you or your products to the bottom of each email you send out. You could even change it on a monthly basis - or with each email you send out if it’s on a newsletter.

5. Create a display of what your customers have said if you have a stall or exhibition stand

If you sell your products on a stall or have a pop-up shop, or promote your business at an exhibition, make sure everyone who you speak to sees your best reviews. You could create a printed graphics or even have a book of testimonials to show the people you talk to.

Whatever you do, don’t just leave your reviews where your customers leave them. Yes, they serve a huge purpose there, but they can work so much harder for you.

When you don’t have much time to dedicate to marketing, you need to find ways to make what you do as efefctive as possible. If you’d like to find out some other ways of doing this why not book a session with me. Why me? One of my clients had this to say after working with me:

She has a huge knowledge of small business marketing and really made it easy for me to understand what I should focus my time on.
